One Man Rides Alone: Bike and Hike Uttarakhand

I wanted to ride - but the Amigos were not available! Adi has fallen in love and Delzad has drowned in work! What to do? Bharathi - SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED - steps in with her sage advice! It was only later that I joined other bikers and met the Amigos and did a whole bunch of riding. Now I will ride alone once again - to Uttarakhand, a most beautiful Himalayan state of India! This is Ruskin Bond country. I remember my favourite author as I traipse through the lands he wrote about. I decide to join the Royal Enfield Ride of Uttarakhand, and once that is done - go on a solo bike tour to the remotest parts of Uttarakhand - right up to the Tibet borders! Join me as I go on a most wonderful, mind-altering solo journey to the remotest parts of the country I ride to Badrinath and Mana - the last village of India, and even take a stab at a solo ride to Mana pass, which is even higher than Khardungla pass. I ride to Auli, and Malari and Niti Valley. I take a spur of the moment decision to trek to the famous Valley of Flowers, to the high shrine of Tungnath, and the high altitude lake of Deoriyatal. Being alone, I meet the most delightful people - from cycle-riding sages to solo bikers traversing the country to a trekking Potel (Motel owning Patel) from the US. And most importantly - I meet myself. I learn new things about myself and how far I can go - just by having the freedom to walk alone.
